Postdoc position at the University of Torino (ESOMAS Department - Dipartimento di Scienze Economico-Sociali e Matematico-Statistiche) on the topic "Informational Flows for Climate Change".

The research project intends to study the factors that influence public opinion's attitude towards climate change and the public sector's response to the challenges associated with it. Information about the risks and consequences of climate change, the way this information circulates, and the audiences it reaches play a key role in determining how environmental social norms evolve over time. These norms in turn influence the probability of success of public policies aimed at contrasting climate change. The project involves an integrated approach that combines theoretical analysis (political economy and game theory models) with the empirical analysis of data from surveys specifically designed to test the topics of investigation.

The principal investigator of the project is Andrea Gallice (University of Torino & Collegio Carlo Alberto). The project is funded by the Italian Ministry of Education and it also includes researchers at the University of Padova (the local PI is Edoardo Grillo).
