The Banking & Finance Research Team in the Department of Economics at Ghent University (Belgium) is hiring a postdoctoral researcher in the field of Financial Economics.
The postdoctoral researcher will conduct research in the context of an interdisciplinary four-year strategic basic research project aiming at improving the efficiency of pension saving decisions. The team consists of researchers from actuarial science, data science, (financial) economics and psychology. Together they address the problem of optimal pension savings product design, optimizing pension saving decisions and understanding actual saving behavior.
We are looking to strengthen the team with a postdoctoral researcher who has a passion for research about pension saving products and pension saving behavior.
Candidates should hold a doctoral degree in Economics or a closely related discipline. Next to research skills, also good social skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset is desirable as the project will also involve contacts with stakeholders.
The position starts on October 1, 2020. We offer you a one-year appointment, which may be renewed for one, two or three years, on condition that the previous term was given a positive evaluation. Your remuneration will be determined according to salary scale AAP5 (Link with more information about our salary scales).
