The Düsseldorf Institute for Competition Economics (DICE) at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf is inviting applications for a position as
Postdoctoral Researcher in Industrial Organization, Behavioral Economics, or International Economics (full time, EG 13 TV-L)
The duration of the position is initially limited to two years, starting on October 1st, 2019 or later. The fixed-term nature of the contract is based upon the Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz (WissZeitVG) with the objective of promoting the scientific qualification of the academic employees.
Candidates must have completed a master’s degree in Economics or a related discipline with outstanding grades. A PhD in a relevant field is an advantage. We expect very good knowledge of theoretical and empirical economic methods and excellent command of the English language.
The successful candidate conducts research and teaching in the area of Industrial Organization or International Economics. More specifically, we expect the researcher to address questions in either Behavioral Industrial Organization, Competition Economics, Empirical Industrial Organization, or policy-relevant questions in International Economics.
At Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, appointments may also be part-time, provided there are no overriding administrative reasons in individual cases for requiring full-time employment. The exact salary will depend on the personal qualification of the applicant up to EG 13 TV-L.
