The Leibniz Institute for Financial Research SAFE – Sustainable Architecture for Finance in Europe – at Goethe University Frankfurt invites applications for the positions of full-time
starting at the earliest possible date. Applicants should have a PhD (or will have completed their degree by the start of contract) in financial economics or economics with research interests in financial intermediation, household finance, international finance, or money & finance. The positions are initially limited to three years with the option to be continued for another three years, subject to a positive mid-term evaluation.
We welcome applications from candidates who maintain active scholarship in their field, show a strong research potential, and the commitment to contribute to the activities of the institute. There is no specific teaching load assigned to this position, but involvement in the teaching of Goethe University bachelor, master, and Ph.D. programs is highly welcome.
SAFE promotes high-quality research and independent policy advice on all aspects dealing with the structure and functioning of the financial system. It is committed to contributing to the strengthening of a sustainable and resilient financial system that promotes innovation and serves the needs of the economy and its citizens. More than 100 researchers in the area of finance as well as macro- and microeconomics and law collaborate at SAFE.
In January 2020, the newly founded Leibniz Institute for Financial Research SAFE will continue the work of the current Research Center SAFE. This was recently reviewed by the German Science Council and received the highest possible mark (“excellent”) for its research quality.
