About This Opportunity
As part of a broader staff hiring campaign, the School of Economics is seeking to appoint two (2) teaching and research focussed Professors of Economics, in any area of Applied Economics. As a Professor of Economics, you will demonstrate excellent contributions to teaching, research, and service and engagement, and provide leadership in the School and University. You will exhibit effective leadership and excellence in a range of settings and roles and demonstrate a sustained record of outstanding international achievement and impact in an Applied Economics area.
This position is located at our picturesque St Lucia campus, renowned as one of Australia’s most attractive university campuses, and located just 7km from Brisbane’s city centre. Bounded by the Brisbane River on three sides, and with outstanding public transport connections, our 114-hectare site provides a perfect work environment – you can enjoy the best of both worlds: a vibrant campus with the tradition of an established university.

An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate and be inclusive of super of up to 17%.
