Offer Description
The successful candidate will strengthen the Center’s focus on start-ups and entrepreneurship, paying particular attention to sustainable, international, and intercultural aspects of founding companies and their contribution to economic development. Wherever possible, application-oriented research and teaching should be initiated, and active cooperation partnerships with companies, international organisations, and business-related institutions are expressly preferred. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver appropriate teaching courses for students of the Faculty of Business, Economics, and Social Sciences, as well as supervising bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral theses.
Employment Requirements
- Austrian or equivalent foreign higher education degree corresponding with the position (doctorate/PhD)
- Outstanding academic qualifications in research and teaching in the relevant discipline as well as several years of subject-relevant non-university practical experience
- Gender mainstreaming and diversity management skills
- Proven expertise in designing, implementing and scaling programmes that promote women entrepreneurs
- Many years of experience in initiating and leading interdisciplinary R&D projects on entrepreneurship
- Demonstrated excellence in higher education didactics, with substantial teaching experience in German- and English-language programmes
- Successful attracting of national and international third-party funds
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Very good knowledge of German and English
