The Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (KU) is a non-state university under church leadership and officially recognized by the Free State of Bavaria. The Chair of Business Administration, esp. Business Taxation and the Chair of Economics, esp. Public Finance at the Ingolstadt School of Management jointly invite applications for a position (part-time, 75 %) as a Research Associate to be filled from September 1, 2022 (or later), initially for a limited period of two years (with the possibility of extension). The place of work is Ingolstadt. The positions are remunerated according to pay grade E 13 TV-L provided that requirements are met. The successful candidates are expected to complete a doctoral degree.
The position is part of the research project “Tax avoidance of multinational firms at subsidiary level” and is funded by the Thyssen-Stiftung. There is no teaching obligation.

You have completed your Master’s degree in business administration, economics (or a related subject) with very good grades. You are interested in business taxation, tax implications, tax and economic policy as well as the research topics of the chairs and empirical research. We expect in-depth knowledge of applied empirical methods. Specialized knowledge in the fields of business taxation and/or public finance, especially taxation, is desirable. You should have good organizational and communication skills, a high level of motivation, and like to show initiative. A very good command of the written and spoken English language is required. Applicants not speaking German should be willing to learn the language sufficiently well to follow every-day conversations within six months. After two years of their appointment, candidates are expected to be proficient in the German language.
