Mid-level industry position
This position will be responsible for the worldwide Bio-Rad tax provision and tax accounts in our filings to the SEC, the annual Form 10K and the quarterly Forms 10W for over 70 foreign entities and multiple domestic entities.
Manage the Global US GAAP Financial Statement annual audit and quarterly reviews for Income Taxes.
Responsible for all tax accounting matters and is the primary tax group resource dealing with the Financial Statements and our audit firm.
Research new and often unique issues that arise in the domestic or international law, changes in Bio-Rad's cash situation in the various entities and jurisdictions and the interplay with the tax accounting treatment.
Tax accounting consequences of mergers and acquisitions and coordinating with the Financial Reporting Group.
Review the positions established by international subsidiaries for indirect taxes such as VAT, GST, business taxes and other non-income based taxes.
Resolve significant tax matters that are often highly judgmental, including, for example, tax reserves, valuation allowances and representations for subsidiaries with respect to repatriation of foreign earnings.
Manage the global tax accounting and income tax provision process and related documentation to ensure that the tax processes and related systems are in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) internal control requirements.
Manage two (2) staff members.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. CPA or equivalent. MST (Masters of Science in Taxation) strongly preferred.
Prefer at least 15 years of Tax Accounting and Provision experience at US multinational public companies and Big 4 Accounting Firms.
Significant US international tax experience required.
High level of experience with the statutory accounting and tax systems of all major international jurisdictions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with highly experienced business and tax professionals.
Strong knowledge of ASC 740 concepts and experience with financial statement reporting, Non-GAAP tax reporting, preparation of quarterly Board level presentations, and other tax commentary.
