Valuable work: your role with us
- Your role will involve supporting the academic work of your colleagues in the Research Centre of the Bundesbank in the field of empirical microeconomics. Your support will be particularly evident through your involvement in the survey projects conducted by the Research Centre.
- Depending on the job focus, you will be responsible for preparing and analysing micro data on the behaviour and expectations of firms or households.
- As part of an international team, you will contribute to answering fundamental questions in the field of economics, and thus make a unique contribution to the decision making process of the Deutsche Bundesbank.
- You will have access to excellent IT environment and first-class data resources. You will also have the opportunity to interact with leading international researchers.
Unique assets: your skills and qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in a degree programme with a quantitative focus (e.g. economics or statistics); ideally, enrolled in or pursuing a PhD programme in economics, business administration or statistics
- Working towards a specialisation in empirical microeconomics
- Good knowledge of mathematical/statistical applications, especially Stata (or R)
- Experience working with micro data and survey data would be an asset
- Familiarity with data visualisation software (e.g. Tableau, R-Shiny) would be an asset
- Strong analytical skills
- Organisational skills as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Very good command of English; a grounding in German
