Two positions, open either for Ph.D. candidates or Postdocs, are available at the Institute for Resource and Energy Economics at the University of Kaiserslautern, Germany, from October 15, 2017. A full position is offered to a Postdoc, while a 2/3 position is offered to a Ph.D. student.
From a Ph.D. candidate, we expect a degree in economics or in a related field (e.g., mathematics) with an above-average final grade, as well as a solid background in one of the following areas: economic theory, microeconomics, environmental or climate change economics, energy and resource economics, game theory, industrial economics. Part of the teaching is in German, so sufficient German language skills are expected.
A successful candidate will become a member of a dynamic new research team that investigates various aspects of environmental and climate change economics. Teaching and other obligations are also involved. The positions are paid according to the national guidelines: TV-L (E13).
