Valuable work: your role with us 

  • You will be coordinating the monthly Online Panel – Households (BOP-HH) surveys on the expectations of households in Germany. 
  • As part of an international team, you will work on the design, analysis and further development of the surveys. 
  • This will entail producing the questionnaires contained in the surveys – both internal and external researchers as well as analysts from the Bank’s various business units are able to contribute to these. 
  • Through your work, you will be contributing to opinion-forming and decision-making processes within and outside the Bundesbank. To this end, you will present your findings in internal and external reports and presentations in a manner appropriate for the intended audience. 
  • You will also evaluate the microdata for your own academic and other policy-relevant contributions and publications. 

Unique assets: your skills and qualifications

  •  Master’s degree or comparable qualification in a degree programme with a quantitative focus (e.g. economics, statistics or survey methodology), with an above-average degree grade Extensive experience in designing, coordinating and conducting online surveys of households or individuals 
  • Experience in evaluating survey data on households or individuals 
  • Very good knowledge of empirical methods for the analysis of complex sets of microdata
  •  Theoretical and empirical knowledge in the field of research on the behaviour of households and individuals; familiarity with how these groups form their expectations would be an advantage Experience in producing independent academic work, ideally supported by publication credits in academic journals and/or a doctorate 
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills 
  • Organisational talent and negotiation skills, ability to work in a team 
  • Very good command of German and English
