with a special focus on

Lessons for economic policy from heterogeneity in survey data

Banco de Portugal will organise in cooperation with CIRET and KOF/ETH Zurich a 1 ½-day workshop on “Lessons for economic policy from heterogeneity in survey data”.

Given the importance of heterogeneity, it is key that economic analyses take on board such dimension for economic policymaking. It has become increasingly important to shed light along the distribution instead of focusing solely on the so-called representative agent. Hence, it is relevant to assess to what extent survey data can tackle this complex issue.

Submissions on this and other topics broadly related to this special focus theme or to Economic Surveys (and thereby the aims of CIRET in general) are welcome.

Please submit your paper including an abstract (or extended abstract) by filling out the submission form available at ciret.org (https://ciret.org/account/login). If you already have a CIRET account, you can log in and submit your paper under ‘My papers’ otherwise you have to register first. Your paper has to be submitted in PDF-format. Authors will receive notification of acceptance of their work at the end of June.

Authors are also kindly invited to submit their ready-to-publish papers to the CIRET & Springer Journal of Business Cycle Research (JBCY). Submissions accepted by the Editor-in-Chief will be peer-reviewed by two referees.

The registration fee for the workshop is €120. A dinner, two lunches and coffee breaks are covered by this fee. Participants are invited to make their own arrangements regarding accommodation.

Further information on the workshop will be made available on https://www.ciret.org/workshops/. Questions on the scientific content of the workshop or organisational aspects can be addressed to info@ciret.org.
