Health Economics and Policy Group
Part-time, 30 hours/week

What to expect
- Institute Life: You will actively contribute to the Health Economics and Policy Group, a vibrant research group within the Institute for Social Policy, by participating in regular meetings, presenting your work at internal workshops, and engaging in the academic life of the institute
- Research: You will collaborate with members of the Health Economics and Policy Group on research projects, contributing to research design, data collection and analysis, and scientific publications.
- Writing a dissertation: You will be investigating your research topic and spending a third of your working hours on writing your dissertation.
- Teaching: You will support teaching in the Bachelor’s Specialization "Health and Social Policy" through co-teaching activities equivalent to approximately 2-3 contact hours per week.
- Supervision: You will contribute to the supervision of Bachelor’s and Master’s theses in collaboration with senior faculty members, supporting approximately 2-4 theses per year.
What you have to offer
- Academic degree: You have a diploma/master’s degree in economics, health economics, or in a relevant social science that qualifies you for enrollment in a doctoral program at WU.
- Quantitative skills: You have a strong background in quantitative methods and are proficient in at least one leading statistical software package, such as Stata or R.
- Research experience: You have prior experience conducting quantitative research.
- Qualitative methods: Experience with qualitative research methods is not required but would be considered an asset.
- Languages: You have an excellent command of English, both written and spoken. German language skills are not required but would be considered an asset.
- Willingness to use multimedia teaching methods: You are prepared to use multimedia teaching and learning formats.
