Our Economics MSc comprehensively covers the core areas of microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics. As well as acquiring excellent technical training in these areas, you’ll also learn how to bring your analytical strengths to bear on applied issues. This course includes training in research methodology that will give you the skills you need to carry out independent research in economics and complete your dissertation.

We offer a range of elective modules which will allow you to tailor your course to meet your needs. These modules take in the full range of academic expertise and active research interests within the School of Economics.

In addition to our standard MSc Economics we offer four pathways and flexibility is built into the programmes giving you the option to switch across to different pathways:

•    Economics (Policy Evaluation and Data Analysis) MSc

We teach the core MSc Economics programme in the first semester and then, if you wish, you can switch to one of our specialist Economics masters pathways or continue on the standard MSc Economics.
