Research Programmes
- MRes + PhD Economics (1 + 3 years)
This is a combined 1 year MRes with 3 year PhD Programme in Economics which enables motivated candidates to qualify after their first year with an MRes, and then continue their research studies over the remaining three years of your PhD.
The MRes Economics is designed to target those with an outstanding background in Economics, often already holding an MSc in the subject, who wish to engage in doctoral research in Economics. The focus of the modules is entirely research-oriented.
Combining the MRes with the PhD will help you to compete in the academic job market. Your first year of PhD will be spent attending advanced modules in microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics, while working on your research. The final two years of your PhD will be completely dedicated to your research, leading to a PhD dissertation.
