The Master's degree programme in Economics-QEM curriculum at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice is the more research oriented track of the Ca' Foscari Master’s in Economics, Finance and Sustainability. It provides rigorous training in fundamental quantitative tools by combining core economic theory and econometrics in order to form professionals able to understand economic problems, and analyze and handle economic datasets.

We welcome applications from students with a strong quantitative background, and, more importantly, with a commitment to undertake the demanding training that is necessary to make them ideal candidates for public and private research centers, consulting firms, international organizations, central banks and any other institutions where a well trained economist is needed. The program boasts a well-established placement record thanks to its rigorous training, wide network, and a dedicated faculty that has been trained in the best Ph.D. programs in Europe and the US. It is also a natural step towards the access to the best Ph.D. programs worldwide and therefore excellent opportunities in the academic sector.

The Economics-QEM curriculum is part of a the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD) QEM programme organized with Université Paris 1-Panthéon-Sorbonne (Paris, France), Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Barcelona, Spain), Université Catholique de Louvain (Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium), Warsaw School of Economics (Warsaw, Poland), and University of Kansas (USA).

Prospective students who enter the Economics-QEM curriculum at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice have the opportunity to obtain the degree jointly awarded by all the 5 European partner universities conditional on fulfilling some academic requirements at the end of the first term, and paying additional consortium fees.

Scholarships of 3000 EUR each will be assigned to selected students who have enrolled, based on their CV and their performance on a test administered during the fall semester. Additional scholarships are available for internships as research assistants within the Vera Academy program (https://www.unive.it/web/en/8375/vera-academy).
