We are very excited to invite you to the Scottish Economic Society Annual Conference which will be held from Monday 26 April until Wednesday 28 April 2021. The conference will be hosted by the University of Glasgow, but due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation the conference will be held virtually.
The Society welcomes papers and proposals for organised sessions from all areas of Economics, Economic Policy and Econometrics from academics and practitioners regardless of sector. Submission deadline Friday 29 January 2021.

Sir Alec Cairncross Prize - The Scottish Economic Society will award a prize of £1,000 for the best paper presented at its annual conference by an economist currently registered for a PhD or who has successfully completed a PhD within the last 5 years. Cairncross Prize applicants should indicate they wish to be considered for the prize at paper submission. Consideration for the prize presupposes conference attendance.
Conference registration and Fees - A heavily discounted conference fee will apply which includes full membership to the Scottish Economic Society, including online access to the Scottish Journal of Political Economy.
Support for PhD students - PhD students are encouraged to submit papers to the 2021 Annual Conference and will qualify for a further discounted conference rate which includes student membership of the Scottish Economic Society.
