The Bauer College of Business offers UNdegraduate and Graduate Accountancy Programs: *Master of Science in Accountancy (MSACCY)*: The MSACCY Program provides a broad based business education that equips students with the necessary technical knowledge, communication skills, and critical thinking abilities expected by employers. *Doctoral Program in Accounting*: The goals of the Ph.D. program in Accounting focus on equipping students with 1) The capacity to produce publishable accounting research, 2) An ability to function independently as a competent accounting researcher, 3) Sufficient knowledge and interviewing and presentation skills to qualify for a faculty position upon completion of the program, 4) Skills required to competently teach a full semester class, and 5) Tools necessary to evaluate and synthesize existing accounting research The doctoral program is research-oriented. Its primary goal is to train scholars to contribute to the growing body of academic and practical accounting knowledge. A secondary goal is to prepare educators to instruct future practitioners and scholars. *Certificate in Accountancy Program (CAP)*: The C. T. Bauer College of Business offers a non-degree seeking post baccalaureate Certificate in Accountancy Program (CAP). CAP is a flexible program that helps you to meet your educational and career goals by 1) Fulfilling the educational requirements necessary to sit for the Uniform CPA Exam in the state of Texas 2) Fulfilling Β the accounting prerequisite coursework required for the Master of Science in Accountancy Program at the University of Houston 3) Offering personal enrichment to students changing their careers to accounting CAP courses are offered in the evenings and occasionally on Saturdays. Courses are offered at the University of Houston Main Campus.
