The Department of Economics (DSE) at the University of Verona brings together scholars active in economics, statistics, and quantitative methods applied to economics and finance, with campuses in Verona and Vicenza. The composition of the DSE reflects a recruitment policy aimed at attracting highly qualified scholars, with the objective of strengthening the Department’s scientific profile and project development capacity. A significant proportion of faculty members have gained education and research experience abroad.
The Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR) recognized the DSE as a “Department of Excellence” for the 2023–2027 period. More generally, within the national landscape, the DSE is recognized for its scientific strength and the quality of its economics education. Its roots in an economically dynamic territory further strengthen the Department’s ability to generate scientific and social impact.
