The chair for empirical economics (Prof. Regina T. Riphahn, www.empiricalecon.rw.fau.de) offers a position at the predoctoral level starting December 1, 2024 or after. The salary corresponds to a 75 % position on the TV-L E13 pay scale.
The position involves participation in the chair's teaching and administrative tasks. The position facilitates independent research leading to a dissertation supported by the chair. The predoctoral candidate benefits from an active research environment and can participate in the programs of BGPE (www.bgpe.de), the Laser-Network (www.laser.uni-erlangen.de), and the IAB (www.iab.de). Also, several research data centers are available in the region.
Applicants should be close to completion or have completed their graduate studies with good or very good results. Proficiency in the German language is indispensable. The successful candidate is also proficient in English and has a solid background in econometrics or statistics. We are looking for an individual with experience in empirical economic research and a keen interest in working with data.
