*NOTICE - PLEASE READ FOR UPDATE ON APPLICATION PROCESS* EDA is excited to announce the launch of its new grants management platform: the Economic Development Grants Experience (EDGE). EDGE was developed to streamline the application and grants management process by implementing a single platform with increased transparency, improved user experience, higher data quality, and more efficiency throughout the entire grant lifecycle. Please note that this NOFO will close on April 5th, 2023, and applications will no longer be accepted on Grants.gov after this point. PWEAA2020 applications in progress on Grants.gov that are not submitted before April 6, 2023, will need to be restarted and submitted under the PWEAA2023 NOFO in EDGE. To access the full PWEAA2023 NOFO, please go here, and visit the EDGE portal at sfgrants.eda.gov to apply. More information on how to apply is provided in the full NOFO. *PREVIOUS UPDATE ON CARES ACT FUNDING AVAILABILITY* Due to the extraordinary level of interest in EDA’s CARES Act Recovery Assistance there has been an unusually high volume of applications received. Prospective applicants are strongly encouraged to contact their applicable EDA Regional Office representatives to discuss their needs and availability of funds. Prospective applicants can find current contact information for EDA Regional Office staff at https://www.eda.gov/contact/. Under this NOFO, EDA solicits applications from applicants in rural and urban areas to provide investments that support construction, non-construction, technical assistance, and revolving loan fund projects under EDA’s Public Works and EAA programs. Grants and cooperative agreements made under these programs are designed to leverage existing regional assets and support the implementation of economic development strategies that advance new ideas and creative approaches to advance economic prosperity in distressed communities. EDA provides strategic investments on a competitive- merit-basis to support economic development, foster job creation, and attract private investment in economically distressed areas of the United States. If you are interested in applying for a project of national impact/scope under the CARES Act; please inquire at RNTA@eda.gov. **Please note: While the published Notice of Funding Opportunity (available under "Related Documents") states that the ED900A form and the SF424B form are both required for a complete application in some cases, these forms are no longer required and have therefore been removed from the relevant package templates. The rest of the ED900 application forms have all been updated in the appropriate packages on April 1, 2022 and are expected to be used for all applications submitted after April 1, 2022.
