Offer Description

The University of Zagreb, Faculty of Economics and Business invites applications for the following position:

One Senior Assistant (fixed-term position)

• Employment type: Full-time
• Contract duration: Fixed-term for four (4) years

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the requirements prescribed by the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (Official Gazette No. 119/22) and the Statute of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Zagreb.

Salary

The salary is determined in accordance with the Act on Salaries in Public Services (Official Gazette No. 155/23), the Regulation on Job Titles, Classification Requirements and Salary Coefficients in Public Services (Official Gazette No. 22/24), and other applicable legislation governing employment in Croatian public institutions.

The salary coefficient for the position of Senior Assistant is 2.55. The gross salary is calculated by multiplying the prescribed coefficient by the salary base established by the Government of the Republic of Croatia and includes statutory supplements, including a 0.5% seniority allowance for each completed year of service, together with other employment-related rights provided by law and applicable collective agreements.

Required Application Documents

Applicants are required to submit the following documents:

• a signed application clearly stating the position applied for;
• curriculum vitae (CV);
• proof of the required academic qualification and academic degree;
• list of scientific publications and professional works;
• proof of Croatian citizenship or citizenship of another country;
• applicants who are not Croatian citizens must additionally provide proof of Croatian language proficiency at minimum B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
• Documents issued in a foreign language should be accompanied by an official translation into Croatian or English where applicable.

Selection Procedure

To assess whether applicants meet the formal requirements and to evaluate their professional knowledge, skills and competencies, the Faculty reserves the right to conduct one or more stages of the selection procedure, including:

• interview;
• written assessment;
• oral assessment;
• foreign language proficiency test;
• other appropriate evaluation methods.

Only shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in the selection process and will be informed in due course.
