Workshops
On-Site
CESifo and TUM's Cluster of Excellence TransforM will jointly organize the first Workshop on the Economic and Societal impacts of AI to be held in Munich, 5 - 6 December 2025.
Organized by Oliver Falck (ifo Institute and LMU Munich), the workshop aims to bring together researchers from both sides of the Atlantic to discuss the impacts of AI on, e.g. the labor market, productivity and innovation, competition or firm organization.
We invite submissions of papers from all fields of economics; both theoretical and empirical. In particular, we welcome sector studies that evaluate the impacts of specific AI tools, e.g. in the health sector or education. Submissions from junior researchers are especially encouraged.
The keynote lectures will be delivered by Tania Babina (University of Maryland) and Christina Gathmann (Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research).
The deadline for submissions is 30 September 2025. Please visit the workshop website to submit a paper.
