ICEPAD 2026 is a three-day international conference that brings together economists, data scientists, policymakers and development researchers to examine the rapidly evolving intersections of public economics, artificial intelligence and development policy. The conference will feature invited keynote lectures, paper presentations and a dedicated poster track for early-career researchers and students.
The conference is jointly organized by three leading institutions: the Centre for Training and Research in Public Finance and Policy (CTRPFP), Kolkata, a nationally recognized center for research in taxation, public finance and fiscal policy; the Department of Economics and Finance, BITS Pilani Goa Campus, and the Anuradha and Prashanth Palakurthi Centre for Artificial Intelligence Research (APPCAIR), BITS Pilani. This unique institutional partnership bridges the disciplines of economics, public policy and cutting-edge AI research.
We invite original research papers (unpublished) that make theoretical or empirical contributions to the conference theme. Papers will be presented in sessions of 20 minutes followed by discussion and open Q&A. All accepted papers will be considered for inclusion in conference proceedings and may be recommended for fast-track review at partner journals.
Submission format:
- Full papers: 5,000–10,000 words (inclusive of references and abstract)
- Abstract: 250–300 words with 4–6 keywords
