We are pleased to invite full paper submissions for the Workshop “Unveiling Wealth and Income Inequalities”, held on October 26th and 27th 2023 at DIW Berlin. The workshop, supported by the German Research Foundation, aims to bring together researchers to discuss and exchange ideas on the critical issues surrounding wealth and income inequalities.

We are very pleased to welcome the following keynote speakers:

Martin Blomhoff Holm (University of Oslo): “Saving Behavior Across the Wealth Distribution: The Importance of Capital Gains”

Bertrand Garbinti (CREST-ENSAE): ”Tax Design, Information, and Elasticities: Evidence From the French Wealth Tax"

The workshop will feature work on a wide range of topics related to wealth and income inequalities, including but not limited to:

  • Causes and consequences of wealth and income inequalities
  • Applied theoretical modelling on wealth and income inequalities
  • Measurement and indicators of wealth and income inequalities
  • Methodological approaches to studying wealth and income inequalities
  • Policies and interventions to address wealth and income inequalities
  • The role of gender, race, family background, and inheritances in wealth and income inequalities
  • Historical analysis of wealth and income inequalities

Submission Guidelines:

We invite researchers and scholars interested in presenting their work at the workshop to submit their full papers. Please submit papers in PDF format to watt2023@diw.de by 21st of August. The workshop's organizing committee will review submissions, and notifications of acceptance will be sent by 28th of August.

Presenters are expected to discuss another paper presented at the workshop.

Auditing the workshop without presenting is possible.
