The Faculty of Economics, Law and Social Sciences at the University of Erfurt is seeking to fill the following position for 30 hours per week as soon as possible:
Research assistant (m/f/d) in the field of macroeconomics, pay grade 13 TV-L (75%).
Responsibilities
- Own scientific qualification as part of a doctorate under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sebastian Rüth
- Scientific collaboration on research projects of the professorship
- Presentation of research results at international conferences
- Organization and implementation of courses (1.5 courses per semester) in the subject area
- Participation in administrative tasks of the professorship
What we expect
- Completed academic degree (diploma/M.A./M.Sc.) in economics, finance, business mathematics, statistics, or related disciplines
- In-depth knowledge of macroeconomics, econometrics, and finance
- Experience with statistical software (e.g., Matlab, Stata, Python, R)
- Ability to work independently
- Very good knowledge of the English language
