We invite applications for a research associate (postdoc) with a research interest in microeconomics (theory and/or experiments). As a University of Excellence, Universität Hamburg is one of the strongest research universities in Germany.

The research associate should pursue independent research in microeconomic theory and/or experiments. She or he has excellent knowledge in microeconomic theory, in particular in game theory.

Experimental research can be conducted in the modern research laboratory of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences (www.wiso.uni-hamburg.de/en/forschung/forschungslabor.html).

The research associate is expected to take an active part in fundraising activities. The position involves the teaching of courses and tutorials in microeconomics. This includes a preparatory course in “Intermediate Microeconomics” in the M.Sc. Politics, Economics and Philosophy.

The research associate also supervises bachelor and master theses. The teaching load is 5 hours per week. An excellent command of the English language is required. A good command of the German language is advantageous but not mandatory.

The research associate is offered to work in a research oriented team (www.wiso.uni-hamburg.de/en/fachbereich-vwl/professuren/gerber.html) in a dynamic department.
