The Chair of International Economics at the University of Oldenburg is looking for a
Research Associate/Postdoctoral Researcher (100 %) in International Economics (m/f/d)
to join our team as soon as possible.
Our research and teaching activities lie in the field of international economics, with a focus on international trade, global production networks, and multinational enterprises.
Paygrade is TV-L E13.
You contribute to the research and teaching activities of the Chair of International Economics. You conduct independent research on questions related to international trade, international finance, and/ or international migration, and you teach courses in international economics (four times 45 minutes per week during the teaching period).
To be considered for this position, you must hold a university Master’s degree (or equivalent) in economics or a related discipline. Upon starting the position, you must hold a relevant doctoral degree. You have an excellent command of theoretical and/ or empirical methods and conduct independent research in international economics. You are curious, eager to learn, and passionate about research and teaching in international economics. You have a very good command of written and spoken English, excellent communication skills, and you enjoy working in a team.
Ideally you have:
The successful candidate has focused on international economics in prior research and teaching activities, ideally demonstrated by first peer-reviewed publications and excellent teaching evaluations. Research activities directly related to the focus of the chair are desirable. Strong skills in theoretical modeling, econometric analysis, and/ or computational methods are a plus. A basic command of German is an advantage but not a requirement.
