The Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Göttingen invites applications for a tem-porary professorship with civil servant status (grade W1 NBesO) effective at the earliest possible date:
W1 Professorship in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting (f/m/d)
The professorship will initially be awarded with civil servant status for a period of three years. After a positive evaluation, the employment contract will be extended for another three years.
We are looking for a team-oriented and dedicated candidate whose research activities are business-oriented and offer links to the faculty’s research focus on “Governance and Compliance”. We are interested in candidates with research activities in at least one of the following fields: Financial Ac-counting, Business Taxation, and Management Accounting. The current or future research should be related to digitalisation in accounting. Empirical, primarily quantitative research is expected. Promis-ing candidates will have excellent research qualifications, demonstrated by their potential for out-standing publications in the field of accounting; initial publications with international visibility are also desirable.
The successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate and graduate business classes. The university emphasises research-oriented teaching. The successful candidate is expected to offer German- and English-speaking courses.
Appointment requirements are stipulated by Article 30 of the Lower Saxony Higher Education Act in the most current version of that law. Details will be provided upon request.
