Investing for the future with an online format
We’ve invested heavily to create our bespoke online learning technology, The Hub, that we use on the Global Online MBA and continually refine this technology to ensure that we deliver a world-class online MBA experience.
The majority of your learning will be undertaken via The Hub, however on-campus elements form an important part of your learning experience. The way the programme is designed and the community is on-hand to you all contributes to a learning experience that places engagement and technology at the forefront.
As a Global Online MBA student, we would recommend a minimum of around 20-25 hours of study for a typical week, depending on your pace of study and academic goals. This will include recorded and live lectures, reading, assignments, group discussions and activities, case studies, projects and careers support.
We haven’t simply rehashed the MBA content for online delivery. The MBA syllabus has been carefully adapted to allow for the most-effective delivery in an online format, without dulling down any of the learning. Each module provides you with a solid grounding in business theory and practice.
The emphasis is on applied learning, giving you a chance to test your understanding through case studies and simulations.
The Hub bespoke learning platform
The virtual, online learning platform has been designed and developed over a number of years by our award-winning Edtech team. The Hub provides you with convenient access to all programme materials, connects you with your peers and tutors and gives you the power to track your progress throughout the programme.
You can access all of this from wherever you are, on whatever device you want to use.
The on-campus components of the programme consist of compulsory and non-compulsory elements. To begin the programme, you will be invited to our South Kensington Campus in London for Induction Week, where you will receive key programme information and meet the rest of your cohort. You will have the option to study electives on-campus in your second year and visit campus once again for the seven day Capstone Business Game.
As well as individual study, you will have the opportunity to work in groups during the programme. During Induction Week, you will be placed in a syndicate team who you will conduct project work for in specific core modules. In your second year, you will be placed in groups again when you visit London for the seven day Capstone Business Game.
Our Global Online MBA welcomes a range of students from different cultures and sectors to allow for a blended perspective. As well as your syndicate team, you will be connected to the rest of your cohort through The Hub, which allows for engaging discussion between not only your cohort, but the teaching staff as well. You will also have the opportunity to work alongside other Global Online MBA cohorts and other MBA students when you study your electives, further building your network.
We work in diverse groups on group projects. I worked with students from Ecuador, Sri Lanka, Nigeria and Hong Kong. It was a great experience that made the world feel so much smaller, particularly when using technologies to bridge the distance and time gaps.
