The purpose of this FOA is to solicit applications for a Transplantation Statistical and Clinical Coordinating Center (T-SCCC) to provide a broad range of support critical for the design, development, execution, and analysis of clinical research carried out by multiple NIAID-supported programs in transplantation. The scope is to support the study teams with statistical design and analysis, protocol development, and final analysis of study findings. In addition, the T-SCCC will support the mechanistic studies by providing biospecimen labeling, shipping, specimen tracking, and kits and/or bulk supplies for specimen collection. Finally, the T-SCCC will work collaboratively with the Clinical Data and Safety and Monitoring Center (CDSMC) that will provide data management for the Transplantation clinical trials. The type of research for which support will be provided includes clinical trials, integrated studies of underlying mechanisms, clinical studies (e.g., longitudinal studies, genetic studies, etc.), and studies to identify and validate surrogates/biomarkers.
