We invite abstracts for the Annual Natural Experiments Workshop on 19th Nov 2024. The deadline for submission is 1st Oct 2024.

The Department of Economics at Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia, is organising the 11th Annual Natural Experiments Workshop (ANEW) on the 19th of November, 2024, at the Deakin Burwood Campus in Melbourne. This workshop provides an exciting opportunity for academics who use natural experiments for causal inference to get feedback on their empirical applications. Topics cover (but are not limited to) health, education, labour, political economy, and development. 

Please send a one-page abstract (at least 300 words, but extended abstracts are also welcome) to anew@deakin.edu.au. The submission deadline is 11:59 PM (AEST) on 1st October 2024. Authors whose abstracts are accepted will be notified by 15th October 2024. We welcome submissions from both senior and junior researchers (including PhD students). A travel allowance of up to $500 is available for two PhD students who are selected to present at the workshop.

The workshop is free and has no registration or attendance fee. Please note that registration closes on 10th November 2024 at 11:59 pm AEDT.
