The Laboratory for Banking Studies (LaBS) organizes the 14th LaBS International Banking Workshop "Banking in Emerging Markets: Challenges and Opportunities". We invite paper submissions for a workshop to be held both in person at the HSE University, Moscow, and online.
The workshop is aimed at bringing together scholars involved in both theoretical and empirical research in all fields of Banking and/or Household finance. The organizing committee particularly welcomes submissions on the current issues concerning banking in emerging and developing markets.
Keynote speaker is Lucy Chernykh (Clemson University).

The workshop is aimed at bringing together scholars involved in both theoretical and empirical research in all fields of Banking and/or Household finance. The organizing committee particularly welcomes submissions on the current issues concerning banking in emerging and developing markets.
Each paper accepted for presentation will be assigned a discussant.
The workshop will be held on Friday, October 31st, 2025.
Submission deadline is August 28th, 2025. Only full papers will be considered.

Because of the workshop format, allowing for detailed presentations and extensive discussions, only a small number of papers will be accepted for presentation. There is no conference fee.
The workshop is held in English. There is no registration fee.
