17TH RGS Doctoral Conference in Economics
The Ruhr Graduate School in Economics (RGS Econ) is hosting its annual, refereed Doctoral Conference in Economics onsite on February 27-28, 2024 in Essen Germany.
The submission deadline is December 17th, 2023. We invite early-career researchers to submit full papers from all areas of Economics. There is no participation or registration fee.
Around 75 doctoral students from across Europe and beyond will present and discuss their work in a well-established, internationally visible format. The conference will take place in-person in Essen, Germany and feature the headline topic "Health and Demography" with dedicated sessions and a keynote speech by Uwe Sunde (LMU Munich) and a joint conference dinner. The best paper to be submitted and presented will be awarded a prize of EUR 500.

RGS Econ is organized by the RWI - Leibniz Institute for Economic Research, in cooperation with TU Dortmund University, the Ruhr-Universität Bochum, and the University of Duisburg-Essen. RGS Econ combines and leverages the expertise of more than 45 faculty members to provide structured PhD education to currently 45 doctoral students in Economics.
