The Faculty of Political Economy in cooperation with the Master Programme in Economics of the Austrian School of Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid, Spain and Lübeck University of Applied Sciences, Germany are around to announce their fifth annual Conference on Austrian Economics.
The aim of the conference is to bring together scholars doing research in this intellectual tradition and will be held in Madrid on October 28th and 29th, 2021.
The scientific committee invites the submission of theoretical or empirical papers related to Austrian Economics on subject areas such as value and utility, market behavior, money and banking, financial economics, business cycles or economic history.
Although the submission of full papers is preferred, extended abstracts will also be considered.
The conference will begin on Thursday, October 28th at 1:00pm and will conclude around 5:00pm on Friday, October 29th, 2021.
If the Covid situation permits, the conference will be held on the premises of Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid (else virtually).

Participants are expected to cover their own travel and accommodation expenses. The registration fee of €150 covers a conference dinner on Thursday evening, lunch on Friday as well as catering during coffee breaks. In case of a virtual event there is no registration fee.
For the second consecutive year, papers can be submitted for The MacroTrends Prize for the Development of Austrian Economics. The prize money consists of €500 for 1st, €300 for 2nd and €200 for 3rd place. Please consult the conference website for more detailed instructions and indicate if you wish for your paper to be considered.
Selected papers will be published in Procesos de Mercado: Revista Europea de Economía Política.
