Course description

In Evidence for Decisions, you will harness the power of evidence and use it to understand the dimensions of a problem, measure effectiveness of policy, and update assumptions that lead to effective policymaking. You will develop skills with analytical tools for weighing tradeoffs and making decisions, and you will build a critical-thinking mindset for how evidence indicates a program is working – and when it is not.

This course is part of the Public Leadership Credential from Harvard Kennedy School. Courses are designed for professionals with a bachelors degree and a minimum of five years of experience, and a commitment to the public good. Learners do not need to have advanced experience with statistics. Participation in the program requires proficiency in English and 10 to 12 hours per week dedicated to reading, viewing multimedia materials, participating in group learning activities and discussions with peers, and completing interactive assignments.
