We offer five doctoral scholarships to engage in interdisciplinary research and complete a doctoral dissertation in our “Resilient Institutions” graduate programme at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Germany.
Successful candidates should have competencies and experience in quantitative methods and empirical data analysis, as well as a strong interest in interdisciplinary research on contemporary challenges to liberal and democratic institutions.They should also have a very good command of English and at least a basic command of German. Their final exam (Master’s degree in economics, political science, sociology, or interdisciplinary programmes in social sciences) should have taken place no longer than 24 months ago.
The deadline for applications is January 31, 2021.
Scholarships are available from April 1, 2021 for three years.
Scholarships include a monthly stipend of 1.400 EUR, funding for travel expenses and conference participation and access to the university’s infrastructure, as well as close supervision and exchange in an inspiring interdisciplinary research environment.
