Your mission:
As Head of the "Financial Stability and Macro-prudential Analysis" section, you report to the Head of the "Financial Stability and Macro-prudential Surveillance" department and are responsible for implementing the strategic plan of the department within the section.
You carry out and contribute to analyses relating to financial stability and/or systemic risk. Your mission:
As Head of the "Financial Stability and Macro-prudential Analysis" section, you report to the Head of the "Financial Stability and Macro-prudential Surveillance" department and are responsible for implementing the strategic plan of the department within the section.
You carry out and contribute to analyses relating to financial stability and/or systemic risk. As Head of Section, you are committed to promote the improvement and ongoing development of the analytical tools used for macro-prudential analysis and financial stability risk assessment, and encourage initiative and excellence within a multicultural team in order to contribute to the achievement of the Central Bank's missions.
Your responsibilities:
- Lead team members in their work and facilitate regular section meetings, while ensuring efficient distribution of required tasks and maintaining a good social climate ;
- Plan the work of the section, assign tasks and define the section's priorities with the purpose of reaching the operational and strategic objectives of the department ;
- Write studies and/or provide contributions to publish within the BCL's Financial Stability Review, reports, speeches and internal memos relating to financial stability and national or European macro-prudential policy ;
- Ensure quality control of the section's contributions ;
- Participate in and contribute to task forces, expert groups and working groups of the Eurosystem, the ESRB and/or other international institutions (BIS, FSB, etc.).
Your profile:
- You have a Master's degree in economics, finance and/or econometrics; a PhD would be an advantage ;
- You have at least 5 years' experience in financial stability and macro-prudential matters, ideally gained in a central bank or international institution, managerial experience represents a distinct advantage ;
- You have an excellent knowledge of the banking and investment fund sectors, and a proven mastery of analytical methods for assessing systemic risks and of European regulations relating to macro-prudential policy ;
- You have excellent skills in drafting advanced studies and analyses in the area of risks and developments in the banking and financial sectors, and in translating the results into clear and relevant conclusions for macro-prudential policy ;
- You have strong written and oral communication skills concerning the results of analyses and/or work carried out at section level ;
- You are proficient in the use of standard Office software as well as those used to conduct econometric work ;
- You have good problem-solving and conflict management skills ;
- You demonstrate a high level of integrity and team spirit ;
- You show great resistance to stress ;
- You are fluent in French and English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Luxembourgish and German is a real advantage.
