The Department of Finance of the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance of the University of Luxembourg is looking for a Postdoctoral researcher to conduct research in the area of Sustainable Finance.
Your Role...
The postdoctoral researcher will be working at the Department of Finance within the Chair and Research Programme in Sustainable Finance that is coordinated by Professor Michael Halling. In particular, the Postdoctoral Researcher will be in charge of:
- Doing research – theoretical, empirical or experimental – in any topic within the broad field of Sustainable Finance
- Contributing to the dissemination of research through active participation in and contribution to outreach events
- Publishing of articles in highest-quality finance journals (e.g., The Journal of Finance, The Review of Financial Studies, etc.) and presenting research at prominent conferences (e.g., AFA, EFA, WFA, etc.)
- Assisting with teaching activities, one to three hours a week and contributing to tutoring students
Qualifications...
We are looking for a candidate with a PhD in Finance or Economics.
In particular, the following requirements apply
- Strong interest in any topic within the area of Sustainable Finance.
- Proven ability to autonomously conduct research within Finance at the highest international level.
- Excellent methodological skills.
- Proven ability to work individually as well as jointly within a team.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, good understanding of a second language, French or German in particular, will be considered an advantage.
