The two-year Master of Science in Economics and Finance at the University of Bergamo responds to the growing complexity of the economic-financial system, exploiting the insights obtained by applying new statistical techniques to big data coming from finance, insurance, central banks and international economic institutions.

The MSc in Economics and Finance equips students with a solid foundation in Economics, Finance, Statistics, and Mathematics. Our graduates will acquire specific programming skills necessary to analyze and manage financial, insurance, and pension products, and operate in the financial markets. The master program has two different curricula: (1) sustainable finance and economics, (2) quantitative finance and insurance.

Students have the opportunities to carry out exchange programs abroad and internships in companies or institutions, both in Italy and abroad.  They will also be involved in workshops, seminars, learning activities, and hackathons. Master's courses are entirely taught in English, favoring international students and international visiting professors.

The Master in Economics and Finance is an official two-year degree, with 120 ECTS (complying with the European directives for higher education). The program is divided into coursework, and the writing of a Master thesis. Students applying for the two-year Master of Science in Economics and Finance need to have completed a three-year university degree (180 ECTS), usually a Bachelor degree in Economics, Engineering, Finance, Management, Mathematics, Politics, Social Sciences, and Statistics, or a related discipline.
