The PhD research opportunity will focus on the health and wellbeing of populations living in low and middle income countries of the Asia-Pacific. The candidate will be supported to craft their own PhD thesis that contributes to at least one of CHE’s research programs of (i) improving the impact of health-related aid and development through aligning stakeholder priorities, (ii) understanding and valuing drivers of population wellbeing, and (iii) understanding and addressing social and environmental drivers of poor health and wellbeing in informal settlements as part of the RISE Project (Revitalising Informal Settlements and their Environments) in Indonesia and Fiji.

The generous scholarship covers tuition fees and a living allowance of $30,000 per annum, with additional top-up scholarships for eligible applicants available. Further financial support is available through research and teaching assistance, along with opportunities for funded travel and study exchanges with partner institutions in Europe, USA, Indonesia and Fiji.
