100% PhD Position

Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with a strong interest in public economics and public finance in an international context. An interest in both applied theory and experimental methods is required. Applicants should hold a degree in economics or a related field, with a strong interest in mathematics and quantitative methods. A very good command in both French and English would be a strong asset.

Start
The position is available as of July 1st, 2024. The University of Fribourg is in the heart of Switzerland in a bilingual environment.

Duration
After a 12-month test period, another 4 years.

Responsibilities
The position is mostly focused on conducting research. Supporting the chair in teaching and some administrative tasks will also be part of this position. Participation in international conferences and in doctoral courses at the study center Gerzensee (www.szgerzensee.ch) is encouraged.
