Frankfurt School is in the process of establishing the “Centre for Central Banking” to advance knowledge on central bank policies. The focus is on the effectiveness and transmission channels of monetary policy, potential side effects as well as the interaction with other policy areas. The postdoctoral fellows should specialize in the broad topics of central banking and financial markets and will work with a team of researchers and practitioners active in this area. The selected candidates will contribute to the centre's initiatives primarily through their research in these fields. The positions have a duration of three years.
We are looking for research excellence and the potential to publish in top finance or economics journals. Applicants must have completed a PhD degree in economics or finance by September 2023 and should have expertise in empirical work. Prior experience in the analysis of large financial market datasets, including unstructured data is a plus. We explicitly encourage international applications. German language skills are not required at Frankfurt School. We offer competitive salaries and generous travel/research support.
