The programme is designed to prepare you for a range of careers in which advanced economics analysis and independent thought are required, such as in international bodies and institutions. You’ll study the same core areas as our other MSc‘s whilst acquiring outstanding theoretical knowledge.
You’ll learn how to solve problems and bring your analytical strengths to bear on applied issues with an emphasis on international trade and finance.
The aim of the programme
The programme will help you build on your undergraduate studies to develop advanced capabilities in the discipline with an emphasis on international economic relationships. Deepening your knowledge in this field will equip you with the tools to pursue a career in this exciting and fast-moving area.
The structure of the programme
The first semester includes an exciting new module Advanced Quantitative Methods in Economics, in addition to the existing modules (Microeconomics, Macroeconomics and Econometrics 1). In the second semester two field modules – International Finance and International Trade – are supplemented by two modules of your choice. The programme also incorporates a Dissertation focusing on international economics for which you will be offered suitable guidance and expert supervision by one of our academics.
