Join the great scientific cluster of Paris-Saclay, located in the Paris region. The University of Paris-Saclay is France's leading university and ranks 16th among the world's best universities according to the Shanghai ranking.

Applications open on January 15th 2023. You can apply for the Year 1 or Year 2 directly.

École Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay and Université Paris-Saclay offer a competitive two-years research program: The Master of Economics (MoE).

Students will acquire the fundamental techniques and concepts in economics, both theoretical and empirical, as well as a critical thinking about the way to use them. This master’s degree is also a gateway to highly selective PhD’s programs in economics worldwide.

The MoE is a two-year, full-time master’s degree program in English.

The first year (M1) is structured around 8 core courses (bootcamp in mathematics and coding, decision theory, econometrics, macroeconomics, international trade, public economics, firms and markets, economic dynamics). The second year (M2) offers a wide range of optional courses, allowing students to deepen their knowledge in their own field of interest. The Master’s program is recognized within the framework of the Bologna Proces (60 ECTS).

In both years, students are required to complete personal research projects. The objective is to train students to grasp the academic literature, to use it in a relevant way, to structure their thinking and to handle the theoretical and empirical tools of economic analysis. Students are expected to produce a research work that meets the international academic standard.

Class size will not exceed 50 students. This allows a personalized pedagogical support to each students and favors privileged interactions with our faculty members.
