Keeping Up to Date
Top Economics Journals
Getting published.
It's the bane of most economists' lives, and it's never been so important. Jobs, tenure, not to mention reputation, all heavily rely on getting published – often regularly. Unsurprisingly, given its significance, there's much to consider when approaching journals. Where your work is published can have a huge effect on how it's perceived, how many people it reaches, and what kind of profile engages with it. Alarm bells need not ring, though, this article will walk you through the process, and ensure your work finds its rightful home. And to the students and those whose careers do not (yet) require constant publication, it's worth sticking around too. Getting familiarised with these journals, popular and prestigious as they are, will help with literature reviews, and keep you up-to-date with developments in the field. So regardless of where you are in your economics journey – whether fresher, PhD, or professor – take note.

The INOMICS Questionnaire: Fratzscher vs Miguel
Marcel Fratzscher: What is your favorite place on earth? Edward Miguel: It may be a little cliche, but my favorite physical location is the Big Island of Hawaii, on the Kona side. It’s where my family (my wife and two kids) and I have traveled regularly over the past decade or so for our family holidays, so it’s a place that holds many of our favorite memories and warm feelings. It is also a stunning landscape -- with mountains, lava and black volcanic rock all set against the Pacific. I dream about it often!
