The MBFR is a program that consists of an eight-month coursework period and an internship stage, designed to provide students with the technical knowledge and tools necessary to keep up with the advances and promote change as a good professional in one of the most changing industries today: banking.

Theory sessions will be complemented by use of the case method applied to the banking industry and an analysis of real situations using information taken from the financial and banking system. In addition to the sessions, international seminars abroad, conferences and roundtable discussions on current issues linked to the banking industry are organized.

  1. Complete technical training for the banking industry

The program is made of Financial Regulation, Financial and Non-Financial Risk, Advanced Internal Models, Data Analytics, Digitalization, Advanced Accounting, Ethics and Economics. The Program is complemented with periodical state-of-the-art workshops analyzing important questions for the European Banking Industry, adding the immersion weeks in London, Brussels and Frankfurt, in which the student receives first-hand training from firms such as the Bank of England, the European Parliament, Goldman Sachs or Moody’s, among others. 

The student has the opportunity to interact one on one with leading professionals in the industry and expand their network of contacts and opportunities.

  1. Career placements

The master’s degree prepares students, with a 100% historical employability rate after 6 months of graduation, to become professionals who will pursue their careers in the following areas:

  • Banks and Financial Institutions: Strategy, Risks, Financial Regulation, Regulatory Reporting, FinTech, Research departments or Financial Management.
  • Consulting sector: Strategy consulting, Regulation, Regulatory Intelligence, Basel III and Basel IV, SREP.
  • Regulatory and Supervisory Bodies: European Central Bank, European Banking Authority or National Banks among others.
  1. Teaching quality and leading professors

The MBFR faculty staff is composed of professors with an international reputation and presence, either by academics and researchers from universities such as Harvard or Columbia University or banking practitioners. 

From the former General Manager of the Bank for International Settlements, to the former Vice President of the ECB to the Global Head of Data & Scientific Implementation at Bank of America, these are some examples of professors and contacts you will have at the MBFR.
