The Case for Community Wealth Building
'The greatest science policy failure for a generationโ is how the editor of The Lancet, Richard Horton, described the UKโs COVID response last June. It was a widely shared sentiment โ made credible by the UK having one of the highest death rates in the western world. Fast forward to the present, and the government has finally claimed a โmuch needed winโ โ a big one, too. Its vaccination programme has been rolled out with remarkable swiftness, and the countryโs vulnerable populations are well on their way to inoculation. Commentators of every stripe have taken note.

Our Economies Prioritise Male Interests. They Must Be Changed
In the collective consciousness, the economist exists as a middle-aged man, bespectacled and clad in a suit, whose unhealthy pallor betrays a hermit-like lifestyle led in the confines of a library. Of course, this image isnโt a particularly fair reflection of the discipline, or its practitioners. Some, for instance, will be aware that in the last few years a number of economists have experimented with contact lenses. Nevertheless, the stereotype remains instructive: the large majority of economists are men, and given the positions they hold, and influence they exert, such homogeneity is a cause for concern.

The Best Online Microeconomics Courses for Beginners
Microeconomics is the study of what economic actors - be they people, firms, or whole industries - do when confronted with choice, and how this affects the distribution of resources. Itโs fascinatingly revealing but can be frustratingly complex. And regardless of which direction your economics career takes, itโs likely that, at some point, it will have to be mastered. But thatโs fine, INOMICS is here.

COVID-19 and the Effect on Female Employment and the Gender Pay Gap
Less than a year on from COVIDโs genome sequencing, vaccination programs are being rolled out around the world. Silent Success: How Quiet Quitting Can Boost the Economy

However, there is a growing movement suggesting that doing only whatโs necessary at work is the best thing we can do for ourselves and for the economy. This is known as the concept of "quiet quitting".

Free Education to Replace Skyrocketing Tuition Fees?
The cost of education varies enormously depending on what one studies and where. In the last few years, there has been plenty of hype about the โHigher Education Bubble,โ brought to the attention of the media by the Economist last year. This phenomena seems to be particularly prominent in the business-oriented fields worldwide and as an overarching situation in the US.
