The University of Piraeus, in collaboration with the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission, is pleased to announce the 1st Piraeus International Economic Conference (PIEC), which will take place on June 28β30, 2026, on the island of Spetses, Greece. The conference aims to bring together academics, researchers, and professionals from around the world to discuss and present their latest findings in the fields of Economics, Finance, and Econometrics. This year, we particularly encourage contributions in the field of Regional Economics.
PIEC is a three-day international conference in the fields of Economics, Finance, and Econometrics. It brings together economists, researchers, and policy experts from around the world, offering a forum where theory meets policy, data informs development, and emerging scholars engage with experienced professionals.
In addition to the main conference sessions, the 1st Piraeus International Economic Conference (PIEC) will feature a high-level Round Table with distinguished academics and industry experts, offering an engaging forum for dialogue on contemporary economic challenges. Moreover, the conference will provide a dedicated opportunity for PhD candidates to meet and interact directly with leading experts, receive feedback on their research, and explore potential avenues for collaboration.
