The University of Lucerne is the youngest university in Switzerland. Founded in 2000, it consists of the faculties of Theology, Humanities and Social Sciences, Law, and Economics and Management, and has around 3,000 students. It has quickly made a name for itself both in Switzerland and on an international level. Around 550 employees ensure that teaching and research activities are conducted at the highest level.
